While the problems are wide-ranging, there is a consistent theme emerging: poor performance and heavily degraded battery life which is compounding the hits affected users have already suffered in iOS 11 and iOS 11.0.1. Some users are also pointing out that downgrading to iOS 10.3.3 solved their problems, confirming it is the software which is to blame.
The iOS 11.0.2 and iOS 11.0.3 updates addressed bugs that have been discovered following the release of iOS 11. According to Apple’s release notes, the iOS 11.0.2 update fixes an issue that caused some iPhone 8 and iPhone 8 users to hear a crackling or static noise coming from the earpiece during phone calls and FaceTime calls.
The iOS 11.1 beta 2 contains a brand new set of emojis for iPhone and iPad owners to interact with and use in their communications an a bunch of bug fixes and minor improvements. The battery life is still pretty low and we are hoping Apple will sort out this in the future, hopefully with the iOS 11.1 beta 3.
So when will the iOS 11.1 Beta 3 and iOS 11.0.4 be released?
The initial developer beta of iOS 11.1 was issued to the developers on Wednesday, September 27 and iOS 11.1 beta 2 on 10th of October. Looking back at how Apple releases its betas we can predict the iOS 11.1 Beta 3 release date to be somewhere in the next 2 weeks and most probably Monday 23th of October to Wednesday 25th of October.
