In March 2016, the famous Finnish publisher, Supercell, who is behind titles like Clash of Clans or Boom Beach, released a new online game, Clash Royale, which immediately was a huge success on Mobile devices.

This game offers a mix of several genres like real-time strategy game, arena fighting game (or MOBA) and a collectible card system and use decks to build before a game.

And with the other games in his catalog, Supercell has a lot to do to keep them and add new content, which is why the Finnish publisher will take his time before releasing a new title , which might not see the day before 2018.

Last year, according to the latest official figures, Supercell reported $ 2.3 billion in revenues in 2016, an 8% increase over the previous year, due in part to the success of Clash Royale.

According to the publisher, however, revenue growth has been hampered by competition from other titles, and in particular the Pokémon GO phenomenon. Asked about the competition, Ilkka Paananen, CEO of Supercel replied that the correct answer was to improve their existing games.

Concerning the immediate future of Supercell, Ilkka Paananen announced that they will not launch beta tests for new games for a short time , probably not before the second half of 2017.
