If you have been using Apple products like Mac, iPhone or iPad, you might have been familiar and have been using the Safari web browser since it is the default and built-in browser for Mac devices. It is a better counterpart to Internet Explorer to Microsoft or Windows products. While Safari is a stable web browser, it can give you a real headache at times. This is especially so when you are not able to browse websites using safari because you are getting the error: “Safari can’t open the page because it can’t find the server” If you are among the millions of people getting this annoying error message and is unable to use Safari-interfaced apps, there are several procedures you can do to fix the issue. You can find them below. Clear Safari Cache Go to Settings Tap or go to Safari Select Clear Cookies and Data Cached data are temporary internet files stored on the device for future use. When you are visiting the site for the second time, instead of your device downloading the data from the site, it will simply load the saved or cached data to the browser so the browsing is faster. Clearing these accumulated data will slow down your browsing since your device will start downloading data again but it can fix most browser related issues. Clear Safari Website Data Launch the Settings app from the Home screen of your iPhone or iPad. Scroll down and tap on Safari. Now scroll all the way to the bottom and tap on Advanced. Tap on Website Data. Notice here you can see how much space on your iPhone or iPad website data is taking up. Scroll to the bottom again and tap on Remove All Website Data. Confirm one more time that you would like to Delete All Data. IMPORTANT NOTE: Clearing website data will also clear any saved logins or passwords you have stored inside Safari itself. If you saved your credentials in iCloud Keychain however, they're safe and will not be removed in the process above. Change to Google Public DNS Go to Settings Tap or go to Wifi Tap the blue arrow to the right of the network’s signal strength meter Replace everything in the DNS field with 184.108.40.206 or 220.127.116.11 (That is Google’s Public DNS server address) The error mesasge itself is indicative that the problem could be the device's connection to the internet. It can mean that Safari was trying to connect to the requested URL but cannot find the server because the device itself is not connected to the internet. If it is connected to the internet, then changing the DNS to Google's Public DNS will ensure that domain names or URLs are resolved properly when using Safari. Reset Network Settings To go Settings Tap General Tap Reset Select Reset Network Settings. Resetting your network settings is the most effective procedure in fixing the problem with Safari.
