Apple is currently testing with developers version 3.2 beta 1 of WatchOS . This latest version brings us some interesting new features including " theater " mode or cinema mode .

What is the movie mode on the Apple Watch?

Cinema Mode announced by Apple and available now in beta watchOS , allows anyone not wanting to be disturbed for a show, concert or at any other time, to cut the watch notifications.

Indeed, after activation, this mode will force the screen of the Watch to remain off no matter what movements you will make.

Importantly, the user will still be notified of the events via the Taptic Engine. This is the big difference with the "do not disturb" mode that will not alert you at all. The highlight of this function is that it can activate even if the sound is active on the iPhone and Watch .

How do I activate the Cinema mode?

To activate the Cinema mode, nothing is simpler:

    • Perform the "drag" gesture from the bottom to the top of the screen
    • The control center appears and a new icon is available

    • Select it and the Cinema mode will be Active !
    • Do the same to disable it .

When your Apple Watch is in theater mode, you will need to turn the digital crown (Watch of the latest generation ) or tap the screen of the finger ( for the first versions ) to reactivate the screen and use the watch normally.
