You have just purchased the latest MacBook, and you want to give it a name, but you are very sure of know-how! Or maybe you just got the MacBook from your older sister, or you bought it from a friend or the Internet. Whichever way you acquired it, it is not in your name or has no name at all. It's time to give this Mac a name, the one you chose, and we'll show you how to do it!

Open the "System Preferences". From the Apple menu (top left), scroll down to System Preferences ... and click.

Click the "Sharing" file. Go to the third section entitled "Internet and network". You will discover a small blue folder with a small yellow logo with inscribed under "Sharing". Click on it.

    Find the current computer name.
At the top of the window you just opened, you will see Computer Name followed by the computer 's current name.

Change the name. You can change the name by removing it first and then typing the name you have chosen.
