T-Mobile customers can now get AppleCare Services included when they sign up for the Bellevue, Wash.-based carrier’s Premium Device Protection.

When a T-Mobile customer buys a new iPhone or iPad and signs up for the carrier’s $12 per month device protection plan, it includes access to Apple’s phone and chat-based tech support, cheaper repairs, and other features of the service.

On its own, one year of AppleCare costs between $99 and $129 for iPhones, depending on the model and plan. Incorporating AppleCare is T-Mobile’s latest attempt to bring in new customers by adding features — a strategy that has been working.

At the end of last year, T-Mobile added another 2.1 million customers, marking its 15th straight quarter of adding at least 1 million new customers. The carrier also saw healthy revenue growth and increased profits, beating Wall Street estimates.
