Apple’s new HomePod has been on everyone’s minds for a while now and seeing as Launch Day is tomorrow, the excitement of owning one is certainly starting to kick in. But, unfortunately, if you haven’t ordered yours yet, you’re in for some bad news. HomePod orders that are done today via the Apple store will only be delivered next week. Therefore, if you haven’t ordered it already, you won’t receive your HomePod on the official day of launch.
HomePod orders in the United States, Australia, and the United Kingdom, will now only be delivered between Monday 12th February and Wednesday 14th February, suggesting that Apple’s HomePod supplies are depleting. This, however, isn’t necessarily bad news. If Apple is already low on HomePod stock, it suggests that consumers are interested and excited about the new piece of Apple tech.
If you haven’t pre-ordered and you don’t want to miss out on owning a HomePod straight away, then it’s still possible to pick one up in-store. This could either be at an official Apple store itself, or at an affiliated tech shop, like Best Buy in the United States, and John Lewis, Argos, and PC World in the United Kingdom. Many retailers set a certain amount of new products aside specifically for those who haven’t pre-ordered. Seeing how popular the HomePod has become – despite it not even being released yet – it may be worth going down to your local retailer early in the morning to bag yourself a HomePod of your own.
Within the next few hours, those who have purchased a HomePod for their home or office will receive shipping notices detailing the progress of delivery.
