Card Wars Kingdom – Adventure Time – Review

By Cartoon Network

Today we are looking at Cartoon Network’s Card War Kingdom iOS game.

About Card Wars Kingdom

For those that haven’t seen the show, it follows Jake the Dog and Finn the Human on their travels through various weird and wonderful lands. Now you can go on your own adventure alongside Finn, Jake, the Ice King and other favorites from the show in this sequel to the Card Wars game that first appeared in the Adventure Time episode.

The aim of the game is to defeat your opponents’ creatures using a deck of cards with different abilities. You’ll be casting spells, summoning creatures, placing shields and enforcing Floops – the ability to place a card sideways and make it unusable until the opponent’s next turn. It all makes perfect sense once you play.

Each player starts with a simple deck of cards, and you take it in turns to drag and drop them onto the board. Choose wisely – you’re only allowed to bring five creatures into battle. As you defeat more characters, your deck is boosted with an array of odd creatures and magical abilities. You’ll also be able to fuse creatures together to level them up.

With a few victories under your belt, you can take on Daily Dungeon challenges and earn bonus rewards, too. Alternatively, you can play against friends, which opens up the ability to share creatures to build your collection further.

Bottom Line

Card Wars Kingdom – Adventure Time is filled with characters and cute lines from the show and it has something for everyone not just Adventure Time fans. The art style is charming and colorful, and the huge range of card types means there are a ton of different strategies to adopt. So don’t let the cheery presentation fool you, you’ll have to practice hard to be crowned ruler of the Card Wars Kingdom.
