Yes, I know, you've heard it before. "It's IMPOSSIBLE to Jailbreak 1.1.4 if you have a 16 GB or 32 GB and you bought it before MacWorld." Well, apparently, it can. Here's my amazing secret...

    Keep trying!

If it pulls up the repeating words, end the process, and try again! It also helps if you are on a fresh 1.1.4 (in other words, restore). Good luck, and hopefully the ZiTouch comes out soon.

You don't have to restore. You can use ZiPhone to kick your device out of Restore mode and back to the Home Screen. Saving you 10 Minutes of Restore time.

yeah heard this worked for a few lucky guys. But if you can jailbreak the iPod there must be something wrong with the software cause its technicly impossible. Or the whole iPod bootloader changed which is impossible or the program just does'nt work and doesn't do anything to the bootloader. I guess you will have bugs... But I don't know....

I don't really know how it worked. I just kept on trying hor about 10 minutes, then BOOM! (as Steve would put it) it worked.

so, if I wanted to try, should I restore to 1.1.4, without jailbreaking anything and then try ziphone?

If you don't mind losing all of your songs and stuff? Yeah, that's what I did. But I did hear that you can keep on trying without losing all of your songs by starting the process and stopping it when it comes up with the error. Either way...

I get that, but did you for instance go from a 1.1.3 soft jb to 1.1.4 and then use ziphone? or something else?

ZiPhone 2.5 is a straight forward Jailbreak. Which means you can Jailbreak right from 1.1.4 and you don't have to downgrade at all.
