As the title states, I have a question. Seeing as the Zii EGG has the same size touch screen as the iPod touch, and I assume it's open source, because it can run the Zii EGG base firmware, and Android, could it run a version of iPod touch/ iPhone software? Or just apps from the apple app store in general?

mabye someone could port it over, if the device becomes that popular that is, if its a failure, devs wont work on it

I wouldn't try it as it would take everything away from the ipod touch, and why would you even want to try ?..........

Because the Zii EGG is better than the iPod touch, as of yet. So, if you ported the iPod, or iPhone software, it would be even better. Because it would have the app store

    iPod > Zii EGG

Zii EGG feels cheap, and is slow.

iPod/iPhone cant be ported, its not open source.

Ugh, you can't just "port" it over. The internals are different so if you some how shoehorned the firmware/bootloader into the Zii EGG, it wouldnt work. Also, you can't "port" something thats closed source. You can emulate, but there isn't even an emulator developed for the computer, none-the-less a newly created device.

    Sorry, no.
