I didn't see anything new posted on this, so I might as well post it here..
    From Geohot on Zibri's key:
That means, as long as this key is hardcoded into the devices, the road is paved for all future firmwares to be jailbroken.
Two methods we've seen so far could be used; either a soft upgrade or recompiling the decrypted image as a .bin and restoring with that.

Just thought everyone would like to know this, feel free to move it to the right place..
It just seems like this place gets the most attention.

If this really is what the devs think it is, and this key is embedded in the ramdisk, then it's great news for all of us! so long as apple doesn't start using a new key...

They don't think it I'd, they know it is.

And yes, this is very good news.

this has been known for a while. I extracted a 1.1.3 bin file from my iPod after jbing 1.1.2 and upgrading to regular 1.1.3. Size was 307 mb. SiZe sound familiar? It had the same file structure as a jailbroken IPO. Basically, that was the app "partition". It was called LittleBear4A39.

It also had installer and iPhone apps.

Are you on a different planet or something?
I fail to see any point in your post..

Yes, I know the ramdisk has been decrypted, I'm not stupid.
This key allows you to decrypt >1.1.1 ramdisks without their specific keys, and hopefully it will also decrypt all future versions.
