Military grade screen protection? I think so!

They used this material originally to protect the leading edge of 'Chopper Blades from rock chips.
It is virtually scratch proof. and as the dude earlier said, there are lots of vids on youtube to prove it.

I wouldn't use this soley as your 'Pod could still get dents if you drop it, but it will keep your iPod in exactly the same condition as when you put it on.

I just bought one today for my Touch, easy enough to put on, tactile feel is nice, and I have peace of mind knowing that I can put my iPod in my pocket with my keys and it will have not a scratch on it.

Well, i got the invisibleSHIELD, but i felt that it's a bit pricey. Their competitors, bodyguardz, and bse do close to the same thing, but a lot cheaper. Just some food for thought.

I got it for Christmas for my first gen.
I was lucky to install both sides on my first try! But it still took me about 20 minutes to do the whole thing.
I was scared when a bit of the solution got in my home button because it didnt work for a few hours. I guess I was lucky and it dried out =D.
I would rate it a 8.5/10 only because it almost broke my home button and it takes time and precision to put on.
