    I got the answer to the question, so this thread is no longer needed. I just had a basic question not a real problem and I figured out that it was completely normal for an Ipod touch. Thanks for all the help.

    They haven't been converted to run on the youtube mobile site.

    Does that mean they are just recent videos that haven't completed processing? All youtube videos are in iPhone-friendly mp4 format, right?

    No it means that they are just not on the Youtube Mobile website.
