I having difficulty accessing Youtube on the 3GS and can't work out why!!!

When I access through Safari all videos have the no-entry sign through the play button and obviously don't play.

When I try to use the Youtube app it won't even let me connect.

Anyone else experiencing this or what am I doing wrong?

Have you ever thought it could be a problem with the YouTube service itself? I've had this issue before, and Rogers told me YouTube does routine work on the site, clean-ups and stuff and that causes some services to go down. Or if they'res bad weather where the servers providing you access are, there is a small chance it'll go down from that reason.

Push and YouTube issues are caused by hacktivation. To fix, add http://cydia.iphoneil.net/ as a source and install "Push Fix"

Like I've said already, it could be a problem with the servers, your carrier or the site itself.

Strange. It worked for me. Try restoring and re-jailbreaking.

... Or wait it out and see what happens? For one, the jailbreak shouldn't affect the connection to YouTube services, nor should the firmware. Unless you tampered with the files, or something got installed that shouldn't have been installed... Otherwise it's most likely a server problem or site problem.
