I have 2 problems about the YouTube app, please move this to the right forum if it's in the wrong one right now.

When I open up YouTube, I can open a video fine, but sometimes, when I tap the screen, the box that shows the play, pause, scrubber bar, and the done button doesn't show up. I'm forced to watch the whole movie or close the app and try to find my video again.

Another problem is that sometimes, when I have a low connection, my video will stop and need to load. When it does that, it sometimes makes it not work at all no matter how many times I press pause or play. I'm forced to close the video and try to find the video again, then make it load again.

Agreed with J-Phone there... Too bad YouTube is a core app in the iPhone OS and as such, it cannot be deleted then reinstalled back...

The only way is to restore the firmware back to the most-recently installed version and then retry the YouTube app again... Hopefully this helps to get rid of the buggy problem!

    Hmmm, alternative to YouTube eh...

That I have to check out, can be a worthy replacement for Timmarus to think about, if a restore does not "cure" the bugs in his YouTube app...

MxTube is nice. But i'd much rather prefer the Stock app itself. Loads much quicker, and you don't have to wait for the video to finish downloading before you watch it.

Hmmm, then I guess you should go for the MxTube app as an alternative... At least you do not have to restore and would still be able to have an online video app in your iPod!
