This is a pointless thread. There are countless already discussing this.

It isn't that bad of a situation. All of the people here are making a big deal about the iPhone dev team when they aren't even the ones working on it. It is the Chronic Dev Team, and the attention should be on them not iPhone. I hate when people start pointless threads starting rumors that aren't factual (almost all rumors).

The Chronic Dev Team is the only reliable source for the 2g Jailbreak and it's information. Check out their google page: http://code.google.com/p/chronicdev/

This gives a task list and the status of the tasks. Nothing new at this time, just be patient and you will enjoy the Jailbreak more when it does come.

I agree. But anyway, I think that a 2G jailbreak should be made. One of my friends claims that he can make a 2G jailbreak, and might put in some money to buy about 3 2G iPod touches. I lol'ed at him, but told him that if he needed any coding help, I would contact some people in the JB community xD

Jailbreak will come eventually, but I don't know if I can wait that long.

For the 500th time, a hard mod was never suggested. The Dev Team said they were looking for a hardware-based solution way back when. The Dev Team isn't even working on the 2G, either.

HARDWARE BASED MEANS THAT IT CANNOT BE FIXED BY AN UPDATE, LIKE PWNAGE.
A HARD MOD WAS NEVER SUGGESTED.

Caps necessary because I am sick of this rumor.
