With Apple's new redesigned connector cable, have you guys noticed that every time you plug in your touch at the bottom, the two metal prongs scrape against the sides of it so that it retracts thus leaving the two sides of the unit you have at the dock connector area white because of the repeated scratches?

Personally I prefer the design of the old connector better so that you have the buttons you can press on the sides that recedes the prongs before you stick them in avoiding any sort of scratches.

I agree, I liked the old model better with the buttons.

Mine only has a scratch smaller than the head of a pin and its inside the connection. I'm just wondering how anyone is going to notice.
