You may not need the new trackpad if you're a MacBook (any kind) user now!!!

I was looking in System preferences on my MacBook Pro, and clicked Keyboard & Mouse. I saw a section for the Trackpad, so I checked it out. Turns out some of the features of the new Trackpad already exist in the old MacBooks, which are:

    - Use two fingers to scroll (with option for horizontal scrolling)
    - Zoom while holding ________ (you can set the button you want to hold)
    - One-Tap Clicking (with options for Dragging and Drag Lock)
    - Tap Trackpad with two fingers for secondary click

So, if these features are what you were amazed by when they were announced, you might just be even more amazed to find out that they are on your old MacBooks too!! If not, then the new MacBook line is for you.

That is a very good point. The only thing i like a little bit better in the new line is the fact that the trackpad is all one...there is no button on the bottom....its a small detail but it makes it look and feel alot nicer.....also its glass (ala ipod) which makes it rely nice to the touch....but im still stikin with my MacBook Pro!

Yeah... but all the MacBooks now come with Multi-Touch So you can use 2 fingers to zoom, pinch. 3 fingers to swipe, and 4 fingers to swipe as well

I think they should've kept the button and made the trackpad surface itself bigger.

The button is the trackpad itself, and what's the point in making it bigger? It's already big enough

    Please tell me you're joking...
Every single one of those options were available even for my iBook! The two finger right click was introduced with leopard, but this is certainly not new.
