jailbreak is totally safe nothing a restore cant fix.
the only bricked ipods or iphones are where super deeduper hackers jump on their computers and start running superdeeduper codes and commands that make the ipod or iphone sh*t its pants

You did ask yes or no, so I'll say yes.
I'll use iLiberty or ZiPhone...but ZiPhone is more stable for me.

Ugh... follw a guide for iLiberty+. ZiPhone is the sh*ttiest program possible; I'd rather use Xpwn.

iLiberty+ is far more stable than ZiPhone, and doesn't cause nearly as much potential damage to your bootloader as ZiPhone will. Although some people have "problems" with iLiberty+, I can assure you that it's all human error. Do NOT use ZiPhone--you're supporting stolen software that risks the health of your iPod if you do. You can potentially brick your iPod if you unplug it at the perfect time while pwning with a program like Pwnage or WinPwn, but other than that, it's fairly difficult. Don't get me wrong, Pwnage-based programs are great, but it's the only way you can do it. It's not easy to brick an iPod. The answer is YES, it's safe, but only if you use a stable program like iLiberty+ or PwnageTool.

Well, ZiPhone can't technically brick, but it's just stolen sh*t that he re-coded to make it LOOKZ COOL WIF A ZORRO DOOD AND A COOL BLOG ICON THAT EVERY-f***ING-ONE HATES, AND "OH I HAS TO MODIFY BOOTLOADERZ TO PUT A COOL LITTLE SIGNATUREZ TO SHOW I DID TEH JAILBREAKZ LOLOLOLOL".

And it is actually a pretty large window of time to brick your iPod with PwnageTool, but I'm not disagreeing with you in any regard.

iLiberty+ and Pwnage/WinPwn = 99x better than ZiPhone, but being a noob (sorry), use iLiberty+ and follow a guide stickied here.
