I was comparing a friend's iPod touch 2nd Gen (8GB) and my iPod Touch 8GB 4Th Generation, And i noticed that my screen was more yellow. Is this normal? Sorry, if there is already a thread on this.

Apple changed the hue of the screens in the iPod touch half-way through the production of the second generation (in January/February, I think) - the yellowed screen apparently provides better video playback.

On the last screen it looks like the other touch is set slightly brighter, does the yellow tint stay when you increase the brightness?

The weird thing is you don't notice it until you compare with an older model. This was the same compared a 3rd Gen 32GB iPod Touch.

Both of them are on full Brightness.

I'd go with people's comments on YouTube saying that it's just that you aren't used to Retina screen and if you stop using 2G you'll get used to it. Another guy said it's just using warmer colours and it's better for the eyes. I don't think it's a real problem. =x

Wow, I hope it isn't that noticable in person.

I didn't notice it until I had two iPods side-by-side, and even then it wasn't too significant.

It's really nothing to be concerned about

Anyways, I just wanted to make sure that mine was defective or anything. I like the iPod Touch 4G better when it's a little yellow, it feels better on the eyes.

And why does the 4G only have 2 bars when the 2G has 3?!?!?! Wifi reception issue?

The 8GB (2ND Gen) is connected to iPhone MyWi thingy, and my iPod Touch 4G is connected to router
