Yahoo! Mail Actually Works!

    If This has been posted, mods pls delete it but i did a search before posting this. Gotta thank Snakedoc12 ( cus it was through his post i use to the yahoo mail app to work.


    Sign up your e-mail add on this site http://v3.izymail.com/register.aspx


    Tap Settings on the iPod Home screen.
    Now tap Mail.
    Choose Add Account... under Accounts.
    Tap Other.
    Choose IMAP.
    Enter your name under Name
    Type your full Yahoo! Mail address ' xxx@yahoo.com' under addressEnter "My Yahoo! Mail" under Descriptions. (you can use whatever you want)
    Under Incoming Mail Server: Enter "in.izymail.com" under Host Name.
    Now type your full Yahoo! Mail address under User Name.
    Make sure you include the "@yahoo.com" part.
    Enter Your Yahoo! Mail password under 'password'
    Under Outgoing Mail Server (SMTP):Enter "out.izymail.com" under Host Name.
    Enter your full Yahoo! Mail Address under Username
    Enter Your Password under password

    Tap SAVE at the top, Note this takes a while, the SSL thing comes up, make sure you say OFF and be patient, if it comes up again tap yes and ur yahoo! Mail will be up and running, also did this for hotmail and it works.

    That's a neat thing. I saw something about this and hotmail a while back on another site and never thought to try that. But, the only thing that worries me is the fact that you give them your e-mail and your password. According to their privacy statement, they do nothing with it but the registration, but I still dont feel good about it. I'd rather go to mail.yahoo.com on my iPod.

    yeah i dont trust it. i got too much important/personal info in my email account
    i just paid $20 for yahoo mail plus and it works good
