XKCD asks: iPhone or Droid?

All I see being displayed is the fanboyism that you have towards Apple? I don't see this broadcasting any message worthwhile to the members of this community.

Didn't pick one because you have to pick a different subject, and I'm sure I want to do Medicine and not something like Genetics.. Although that would be interesting.

There's no fanboyism in that comic at all. It's on the fence. If anything, it's anti-Apple.

Hey Droid and Android lovers, I tried the archos with the Android system and it totally sucks this is a device that got many firmware updates and I was really disapointed with it, i paid 550 dollars for it and it totally sucks. I don't even use it anymore, the UI looks very kiddish and cheezy and looks like made by a 12 year old, allways crashes on easy stuff that my iPod Touch 3G easy does good at and it has the same performance specs. I mean Android is a Total failure I allready have an iPhone 3GS and decided to try a Droid to and it is after I used It totally incomparable to iPhone and a laggy piece of Junk. I mean whoever swiched from iPhone to Droid lost his mind, I even saw some other friends of mine that had Android phone, the system just looks crappy and the usability is just no Mach to the iPhone, not even the 1st gen. Many friends I know regret badly of getting Android phones, this is like windows vista on a phone and Windows Vista is one of the Greatest failures known to operating systems, the same path lies for droid, Seriously guys I even tried to get use to an Android operating system and it's just not possible, so I will stick to my iPhone 3GS and iPod Touch 3G and there has not been an iPhone killer and never will be, so just shut it Android lovers !!

Seriously I was pretty exited about Android but when I tried it on serveral different devices it totally sucked, Oh and I was typing in a hurry with my iPhone.

Um, how does it suck?

First of all, I liked the cartoon and didn't complain about that in particular. I was just wondering why you posted such a common and non-important thing on the front page. Other users have wondered the same thing, so yes, hitting the "Post Reply" button was a good use of time and I made my own as well as other users' opinions heard. Obviously people do care if they are agreeing with me and wondering the same things. Am I wrong on that? I know you get to choose what goes on the front page and I respect that, but I'm still in the gray as to why a comic and a biased comment would be posted there. I have my own blog in which I write news that I care about, so yes, that was a good idea too. We are usually on good terms and this is just a minute disagreement. Thank you for reading my opinion on the issue.

Assuming that everyone on an iPod touch forum likes their product and Apple, a comment like that isn't that uncalled for. And who made that comment out to be biased? It just says "Apple FTW" which I happen to agree with. It never said 'Droid sucks, go Apple!". As for the "iPhone killer" part, of course no new phone is going to be able to "kill" the iPhone. It has gone through a lot of fine-tuning, the hardware and software alike. You never know, the Droid could one day beat the iPhone. But as of now, most of us would probably agree that the iPhone is at the top.
