xbox 360 question help!!!!

    i want to Connect xbox 360 directly to pc with ethernet cable to share media.

    I need help. I connected my xbox to my pc using the Ethernet cord that came with my xbox. I have a windows media center pc. No matter what I do, I cant make the 360 show up on the pc, and vice versa. Windows media player and Zune does not work either. I have no router or any kind of wirless internet. Help Me

    You need it to be a cat5ethernet cable, try to bridge the connections as well.

    Also go into the network and sharing center.

    Check your workgroup is set as a "private network" and turn on media sharing.

    If its set as a "public network" it could be your problem.

    and also note 360 media center extender, will only play wmv , divx and others will freeze the system,

    use orb [www.orb.com] while connected w/ the ethernet cord

    is the cable that came with the 360 a cat5ethernet cable?
    How do I bridge connections?
    What is workgroup?

    you have to plug the ethernet from the 360 to the wall, make sure on the same network as your cpu, then put sharing on in your music and it will show up on your 360

    what do you mean plug it in the wall??
