about 2 weeks ago a tree fell on my power lines and I had a power surge which broke my xbox. It wasnt on, but when I went to turn it on it wouldn't turn on. I did notice that the power cables little green light isn't on though, so do u guys think it could have just broke the power cable, and not the whole xbox. Cause that would save me $400. Thanks guys.

Well, you should definitely try another cable. I think I heard somewhere else that if the Power Block light doesn't turn on, it probably doesn't have a good source of energy or it's dead. Try changing power outlet, if it turns on orange and your xbox doesn't, then it's your xbox. If it doesn't, try with another friend of yours that has a power block so he lends it to you and you can try it. Try again what I said above, if it doesn't work, you're out of luck. You'd have to pay $100 for repair.. good luck hope it works out for you

Did you even try what I said lol.. eBay would be cheapest if you plan on buying a power block. I suggest trying to change power outlet if you still haven't though :\
