I tried to restore my iPod, and I got an error saying it could not be restored. I am not jailbroken, so it shouldn't be giving me errors. Unless iTunes is a big bowl of crap. How do I fix this? (The last time I did this, I had to wipe my iPod from the device, instead of iTunes which took an hour and I don't have an hour)

    I'm on 2.1.

To do DFU mode, I hold the home button down as I connect to the computer (while turned off)?

If you are on 2.1 already then you can just jailbreak it. Run Quickpwn if on PC and get a copy of the 2.1 firmware on your desktop before you start.

Everytime I do it, it just sits at Waiting For iPod In Recovery Mode (or something similar)

No, cause I keep getting a stupid Signature Not Valid error.

It's still not jailbreaking. It's still stuck at Waiting for iPod to be in Recovery Mode. I tried Morphey's but it keeps saying I'm in the wrong mode (I've tried both modes)
