WTF Need Help

    Just plugged my iPhone 4 into itunes to update to 4.1 and half way through i get itunes error 1004 and it's telling me i need to restore my iphone. i swear every time i try to update to a new firmware on any idevice i get some bullsh*t error telling me i need to restore and im starting to get really pissed off. and when i try to restore it doesn't work, i just get that same error. anyone know what to do?

    dfu mode restore?

    What version of iTunes do you have? You probably need to do a DFU restore.

    itunes 10. i'll try a dfu restore. Any idea why this keeps happening to me?

    Try downloading the ipsw file. then restore to the firmware. Always works for me.

    dfu restore didn't work...do you just search for 4.1 in google?

    just got it to work...i used tinyumbrella to kick device out of recovery and then restored from backup and im on 4.1 now...thanks for the help
