wrong password on WinScp

    my winScp wont accept alpine as password...

    user is root.
    did u try that
    password is alpine

    it worked yesterday and now suddenly alpine said access denied

    did you change it?
    if not, someone else may have changed it

    no one can change it and i dont know how to...
    but if someone did can anyone show me how can i check that and change it in terminal

    yes they can change it
    over the same wifi network, then could ssh into your ipod, then change password
    i don't think you can change it back without knowing the password
    i suggest you restore if it is that big of a need right now

    thx ... but no one has access to my ipod throught SSH other then me ...
    id like to w8 to see if anyone else responds

    You could try resetting your device, reconnecting to your WiFi network, reinstalling WinSCP and reopening the SSH connection. However, someone may indeed have maliciously reset your password, though they would need to access to your wifi network to do so. Is your WiFi network secure?

    if you have your session stored, it could be that your IP address has changed. mine does that sometimes when i turn my router off then on again.

    just go to edit, and change your IP.
