Well, my sister pulled a b*tch move on me and set up a WPA. And now I can't access WiFi on my touch. I know what the password is but my Touch still can't access the internet? Why is this? What can I do?

I can't disable WPA or else my sisters gonna tell my dad that I'm letting people steal our internet and crap and I'm gonna get in sh*t.

    ): Helps

if u know the password, what's the problem logging in? just enter the password when it asks you to.

maybe she also put some mac address filtering. you would have to spoof your address. It was possible on 1.1.x firmware but I don't know for 2.x firmware.

Do you think you sister put your MAC address in there and "blocked" your iPod? That would be *evil* ...heh.

Maybe your dad will mediate this conflict.

    edit: cameleon1267 u r quick

well sometime when you activate the mac filtering. by default it will reject all the connection and you have to enter the one you want to allow.

if she didn't do it on purpose then maybe nobody in the house can access internet

also becarefull with the caps in the password. my home network is on WPA2 and my ipod can connect just fine.

well if it's also blocked by MAC filtering, just add your iPod's MAC address into the list and there u go.

If his sister set up WPA, she probably put a password on the router. I know these things: I am a grrl.

Kick her in the taco until she puts it back to normal.

    OR!!

Hold the reset down on the router to put it back to defaults. Hook up to it wired with a laptop or computer and get into the router set up page. Usually 192.168.0.1 or 192.168.1.1 in your browser and set it up how you want and keep her out.
