would you restore your iPod if apple let you add apps through apple instead of hack

    Definately not. even if when they do let you add apps you will still have to pay for them and im sure there won't be as many apps as there is now. so i for sure wouldn't!

    I would so long as there is a way for me to install all m favorite 3rd party apps, but that is the only way.

    NO!!! There would be no point in switching for me. I want my NES ROMs and I don't see apple adding that app anytime soon. I am not paying for apps that I could just get for free.

    No way... For starters, we would probably have to pay for apps, and second of all, the good apps like NES.app etc won't be there.

    My thoughts exactly. Also, as someone already pointed out, it would have to be free. I think Apple's February sdk will give us access to some popular iphone apps, but probably not all.
