The iPhone 4 supposedly has new custom glass on the front and the back which is comparable in strength to sapphire crystals (the stuff on high-end watches). Would you go commando with it? Im thinking about just putting an Invisible shield on it.

I want to keep my iPhone 4 in pristine condition but without ruining its design. I think i will just slap an invisible shield on the back (since its removable) due to the easily scratch-able Apple logo, etc and a regular screen protector on the front. Yes? No?

NEVER!! With all of my iPhones, they've all had Invisible Shields and a screen protector. But for the iPhone 4, I'm going to get one of those shell cases they were advertising on the Keynote, and a screen protector for it.

    Good thing you mentioned this.

There are two types of screen protectors. An anti-glare and a crystal film. DO NOT use the Anti-glare because it won't look good on your iPhone. Use a crystal film.

How has your iPhone(s) held up with the insivible shield screen protector combo? Any scratched on the device itself?

I have also has a number of cases on my iDevices but im considering something "different" due to it's flat back and glass front and back.

I only use a case on my iPod because I keep my phone in the same pocket. With an iphone, this problem obviously isn't a problem anymore, so no, I would not use a case.

In my experience i haven't gotten a single scratch on my 2G ipod touch with the screen film and invisible shield, it lasts like at least a year

In fact the only time i got a minor scratch on the back was when i was trying to take off a plastic case lol
