    to downgrade an iphone 3g to lets say... 1.1.1?

    just wondering.

    Maybe, but only if you downgrade iTunes to the way older version. I'm no expert. But why would you want to downgrade that much anyway?

    well even to 1.1.4, i mean, just for all the apps, plus would 3g still work?

    No, because there is no firmware for the 3g, that is 1.1.x

    What the person before me said. And if you do find a way, iTunes will probably read your iPhone 3G as an iPhone first-gen. It's not worth it.

    no, with a normal iphone or ipod touch yes with some difficulty but not with an iphone 3g bc 1.1.x was never made for it

    thats like saying

    can you put iphone 2g firmware on a psp.... the 2g and 3g are completely different.
