If I were to wait a month or two, then buy a broken iPt (like a craked screen) 4g, would it be hard to replace the lcd? if I cant afford a new one?

The main problem with doing this is after replacing the digitizer/LCD, the touch screen no longer responds.

    Sarcasm?

the glass, LCD, and digitizer are all fuzed together in the new iPod touch so it would not be worth it, it would be easier and likely even cheaper to just buy a new one or wait long enough for refurbs to become available at a discount.
