I have searched for this, but if there is a forum on this already, feel free to berate.

I have an iPod touch 2nd gen (MB) and I want to upgrade to 4.1 as it is at times excruciatingly slow, however, I really want the jailbreak which is why I have held off for now - I can only jailbreak using sn0wbreeze at the moment (I only have a windows computer atm). From what I have heard, using sn0wbreeze will make you lose all your app data etc, and that makes sense to me. Is that true, and if so, can anyone that has lost a lot of app data by doing this tell me if you think it is worth the upgrade, or should I wait for windows redsn0w/SHAtter?

I did and am happy that i did. I have a current thread stating that the only thing that i notice is that the wifi meter jumps from 1 bar to 3 regardless of how far i am from the router, within range. Never loses connection, just fluctuates.

I knew about PKG/APT Backup (I used Rock as my backup because APT didn't work, and I couldn't pay)
Only, does the sn0wbreeze JB lose your app data (e.g. I'm halfway through Slice-it! and I don't want to re-start, same with my Angry Birds 3 Stars and Flight control score, as well as some app data from other miscellaneous apps) or can I back it up and re-sync without losing data from a custom restore, as Shift+Click restores have made me lose my data in the past.
