worth updating to 4.0?

    so is it really worth updating to 4.0?

    i have a jailbroken 3.1.3 2nd gen touch and idk want to go from something awesome to something dull and i dont wanna downgrade.

    I wouldn't recommend it since you wouldn't get multi-tasking. But if you want just update and jailbreak.

    i thought we can enable multitaskin??? if i dont that wud suck big time, thats a main thing in the update...wtf lol

    You can, with a jailbreak. If you want to get all that stuff back, then yeah, do it and jailbreak.

    I dont think its worth it, because I think most of the stuff on cydia does not work on 4.0 at the moment.

    So I think im gonna stick with 3.1.2 tethered.

    yeah upgrade if u are 2g ipod touch bcz u can use redsn0w and not jailbreak but get multitasking, backgrounds, and battery percent

    Why not at least go to 3.1.3 untethered?

    And @ OP: I really am enjoying my upgrade to iOS4. However, I have an iPod touch 3rd gen.

    Same here, that's basically my opinion. You can utilize all the 4.0 features on the MB ipod touch, but then again you can also use the previously existing cydia alternatives to accomplish the same goal.

    As I've said elsewhere, I really love the updated 4.0 music player for aesthetic purposes.

    I like OS 4.0...
    It has some new features which are really good. But the multitasking is worse than backgrounder...
    The best change is the new music player, it looks really good!
