some bugs are eased, but it's still quite buggy

wouldn't recommend it to a person with little patience

Well i would recommend updating to 2.01 because you have nothing to loose. The thing i've noticed is that everything seems a little less laggyish.

Sorry if this has been addressed before, but don't you lose your music and current Apps from Installer if you update from 1.1.4?

definately worth the update. I didn't have any overly annoying problems before, but it just seems to make it crash a little less, and be a little less sluggish. What did it got me is the lag from the contact list being gone ( although I don't think this would affect you on an ipot. All the apps that work with 2.0 seem to work fine on 2.0.1 anyway so there's not really anything to loose.

Yes, you do. Most of us (in this part of the forum at least) have moved on from 1.1.4 and are running 2.0 or 2.0.1. Going from 2.0 to 2.0.1 you need to reinstall/resync your Cydia apps and music/video.
