The sleep/off button on my ipod touch seems to not be working how it should. I could press it as hard as could and it not shut off the display. Sometimes I press it so hard and so many times that my fingers start hurting. My Warranty has been up for about a year now so is there some other way I could get it fixed? Or do I have to buy a new ipod?

you might be able to take it apart and find a replacement part but im not to sure about that.

    You can go two ways.

Open the iPod up and replace it.
    Or get a new one.

    Which iPod do you have?
If you have a 1st gen iPod touch, I'd just get the next one.

I have the first gen. If there really is a third gen coming out on the 9th I was thinking about just getting that but there are 2 problems with that. I am broke so I'd have to wait to christmas. And there really isn't anything wrong with the one I have except the sleep button. Maybe I'll sell my first gen and see if I can find a cheap second or third gen.
