It's kinda odd. I plug my ipod Touch into the video output accessory that I use for my Ipod Video 5.5g.

I watch a few minutes of video and then the Touch Says that the accessory is not compatible and stops putting out video. What is the deal with that? Of course it is compatible, I was just watching the video on my TV being output by the Touch. What makes it stop working and all of a sudden decide it is no longer compatible?

    Any Ideas?

older AV cables are not supported by the ipod touch or iphone. because apple forces you to buy the original cables for about 40bucks - in the cable there is a chip which just tells the ipod/iphone that it is the original cable. then the ipod/iphone will output video.

of course AV output will work with ANY cable but you'll have to be jailbroken and install a fix (I forgot the name, google for it) OR downgrade to 2.0

//EDIT: here is the fix for jailbroken:

    ...OR:
Go to cydia> search> landscape tv out> install

    Warning!!! reboot of device

Reboot> plug in the cable to the ipt and tv> go to settings> tv out:
    Force tv out: on

Hopes this helps. Let me know if it does.
