I was at my friends house and i was getting ready to walk home, so i put on a song, locked my i-pod then went home. When i got home I tried to unlock my i-pod and it wouldn't slide across to unlock it, i tried to shut it down but it wouldn't let me slide the 'shut down' button across, i went on I-tunes and clicked on restore but even after being restored it wouldn't recognise my fingers! I even restarted it with no effect. So basically my i-pod wont recognise ME, no idea how to fix the problem, PLEASE HELP!

Lol I think it's worse than that. Do you have a screen protector? If not, you might want to take it back to the Apple Store.

Try using a french toast stick. I heard they work.

When you walked home did you have anything in your pocket other than your Touch, or did you do anything that could possibly damage your Touch? And if it's under warranty, I'd suggest that you take it back. I've never heard of any touch screen that can be fixed without taking it apart at least.

WTF, if a finger doesn't work how on earth is a french toast stick gonna work.
Just take it back to Apple, most likely a faulty screen.
