    Okay so i want to jailbreak 3.0 and i was wondering if there was a way to somehow save ipod touch contacts because i have to full restore. Also were do people get all these cool jalibroken themes!

    For contacts, I think they get backed up when you choose to back up your device in iTunes.

    I could be wrong, anyone else confirm?

    Backup via iTunes and all your settings will be saved.

    As for your second question, we have a whole section on these forums dedicated for that. Look around.

    So what you are sayimg is i can use restore when i jailbreak it? I would be using redsn0w 0.7 for windows

    When you are setting up your iPod, choose "Restore from backup" in iTunes.

    So when i jailbreak itunes will reconize it as a new ipod ask if i want tot restore and i say yes? Because some things say i need a clean restore.

    After you restore your firmware and plug in to iTunes, it'll recognize it, and give you the options to set it up as a new iPod, or to restore from backup.

    I thought contacts had to be synched and were not backed up in the usual backup?
