    Topic says everything.
I think it's not hard do develop, just a little programme that sends the magic packet to the lan.

Wake on LAN... Launcher for term commands(or .sh files)

ideea for a program is great
i have managed to to this(WOL..not the program)
it's realy usefull to power up my pc from my bed and then VNC into it.

    You could:
    - install perl form installer
(before u install you should create a folder in /var and link it to /opt/iphone the perl install dir) ( ln -s /var/perl /opt/iphone ) Because install often crashes due to of lack of space in system partition.
    - search wikipedia for WOL Magic Packet. You will find links to a perl WOL script
    - make a ip.txt file with a list of mac adresses in the form of 00:2F......
    - copy both (zip content and ip.txt) to /opt/iphone/bin/
    - ssh to your iphone
    - cd /opt/iphone/bin
    - ./perl Makefile.PL
    - and the piece of resistence(power off your pc)
    - ./perl wakeonlan -f ip.txt
    - AND TADA

It would be useful to make a desktop shortcut for this (or any) term command
    "/opt/iphone/bin/perl wakeonlan -f ip.txt"

Any tips on that? (i found out you could make some .sh files that run commands)

Dude, i've installed properly (i think) the perl appl but when I ssh to /opt/iphone/bin although I SEE all files, including "perl", I cannot make any of the perl commands above....it says "command not found" when I just type "perl"...

Do I have to start any application before running perl??? I have no icon on itouch screen..should I, after installing perl runtime environment?

    Thanks!

this would be a seriously useful addition to touch pad pro, as i would like to accesss my computer at home or work from a offsite location but cant if the computer is off, and i cant always leave it on.

So if for us less technically minded/skilled people a reasonable simple (i'm not suggesting the nned for xp style idoit proofness) interface to do this would be grt
