Please! someone has to make this! a WLAN creation utility for the iPoT, so you can use programs like DropCopy or iFob (for chatting) without having internet or an AP.
I know it works for those applications because ive been using a PSP for it! (create a hosted multiplayer game, and while the PSP waits for others to join, connect to that network, it will stay live untill you turn down the PSP or iPoTs disconnect)
EDIT: this might be usefull: http://www.macosxhints.com/article.php?story=20031215125240132&query=proxy

    I don't think i understand your question...

You want to create a wireless network on your ipod so you can connect to it from your computer? Why don't you just create a network on your computer and connect to it from your ipod? This can easily be done in both windows and os x.

I think he means that the iPod should be able to create it's own little network so it can connect to other iPod's in the area. Sort of like PSP's and Nintendo DS's can. Would be cool actually.

Well i presume the card is capable.
Its basically just getting one iPot to share its network over Ad Hoc.
    Not super hard.
There is a guide on doing it for PC.
    Would be cool.
I have a function like this in the eee PC.
    It meshes all networks.
Theoretically if there are enough of these devices the world all has wifi.
