I don't think so, mainly cuz there are certain Apps out there that Apple will most likely never approve. Although I have heard stuff about Apple wanting to allow people to have the full range of access to their iPhone and iTouch, they just want to make sure that they are safe from any kind of malicious activity directed towards their device once they have full access to it. So it's possible that jailbreaking could become useless, but at least for now there will be a lot of Apps that Apple will most likely not approve.

There is no way in hell that jailbreaking will ever come to an end. That's preposterous!

I can't see how jailbreaking can end. The SDK will have it's own limitations - that some developers won't like. Therefore, a new JB method will pop up allowing for greater access.

I think a lot of people would prefer sdk to jailbreaking as i know a lot of people who are too scared to jailbreak coz they think it'll break there itouch, where as with sdk all your doing is downloading a app that has been released through apple so people will trust it way more!! suppose as Birkett sed, it all depends on the limitations developers have when creating apps with sdk.

    Well, i personally haven't JB'd my ipod.

I can't wait for the sdk release!!

At the moment by Touch is a blank canvas. If i'm not listening to tunes, watching vids, or browsing the internet - i have nothing to do on it! I feel like it's wasted potential.

I'm keen as for a chess game, something like iphysics, and just some other fun stuff to play around on.

Am i the only one here who hasn't JB'd???

That sums it up. I heard prices for apps from the SDK could be as high as like $7!
