I finally decided to upgrade to firmware 2.2 to get the advantage of wireless syncing my iPod Touch, after all the talk about it it sounded like a good idea. Anyway, after not seeing any options for podcasts I did some more reading and it appears that this option is only available to the iPhone.

    Is this true?

    Did I upgrade for nothing?

Can I break it and install the needed software for doing wireless syncing?

    Am I simply missing something?

2.2 allows you to download podcasts from the iTunes store over wifi. Look for podcasts in your 2.2 iTunes app on your 2G.

If you are subscribed to a podcast in iTunes, your 2G does not automatically update your podcasts on a dialy basis.

Well this just shows how blind I am. I didn't even see the iTunes store icon there right on the bottom. I use it so infrequently I forgot all about it.

    Thanks
