Hi, it is my impression that after updating to 3.0 wireless range and stability sucks.
Same house, same equipment.. the range does not show same strength.. and the bars showing the signal strength jump from 3 to 1 constantly.
With 2.2 it was just perfect.

Can you downgrade to previous firmware?
Any other experiencing bad wireless performances with 3.0?
    Regards

you should be able to downgrade in the usual way. You however should not be having wireless issues at all.

Dont trust the icons, test your actual connections and speeds.

On previous firmwares I may see 2/3 or even 1/3 bars from the wifi settings page when searching for wireless networks, but for some reason the little icon on the top would always show full signal even if it wasn't really once I was connected.

IMO, they've actually improved the accuracy of the signal strength indicator

    thanks guys for all answers...
No worries then.. but I have always full signal also with my laptop.
I tweaked the antenna of my Netgear router..
If you say that now the signal icon is more accurate.. then it's fine anyway

True, but at the expense of range and connectivity.

I was hoping I was the only one with this problem.

...ok about the bars, but do we have a range and stability issue with wireless?
In my opinion.. I am a bit worried.

I've gotta say I have a better experience. Whilst my wifi always worked I had loads of problems with streaming radio dropping out except at really close range, since I updated last night it seems much better - I've been wandering around the house testing it for a couple of hours with no drop outs.
I can't really qualify what has happened to the signal strength because WiFi Trak which I use for that is currently not compatible with V3, pending the appstore to approve the new version. I did do a speed check last night and it was pretty much the same as before - between 1 & 2 mb download (my actual broadband is typically 6 -7 though).
