I was transfering a file... and I thought that my iPod was plugged in. That wasn't so. My iPod Touch was not connected to my computer.

Using SSH, yes. Your iPod doesn't need to be plugged in, it transfers files over your local network.

Yes, it's been possible for months. And for awhile, it was the only way to transfer files.

Ahhh good topic. I was just about to ask something similar.

Whether using CuteFTP, WinSCP or whatever.........if you're plugged in via USB are the files STILL being transferred wirelessly or is the data traveling over the USB cable??

(Got me thinkin' as to why we have to add the IP address of the Touch when using the FTP client)
