So heres my problem. I baught a new desktop and installed itunes 9 on it.

I had my original ipod files on my old computer.

So When i go sync my ipod xp detects it as a camera rather then a device. On certain occassion it wont even detect it at all, other times I get an unknown error from device.

    Any help

I've tried many ports on my computers.

It is detected as a camera because of the 'DCIM' folder in the iPod touch file system, so you can get screenshots.

    Its normal.

yes what the people above said, and if u want it to detect it as a mass storage device. thats not gunna happen, since they removed it, but you can get IfunBox which can turn it into one
