Winterboard

    i just jailbroke my ipod touch and i was wondering if you install winterboard do you have to reboot? And if you add themes does the ipod reboot?

    so if i reboot i will lose everything i have downloaded. cant i not press reboot after install and then reboot the ipod using my computer with like command prompt or something. so that i don't have to jailbreak all over again?

    No, you don't loose everything, you'll just have to do the last couple of steps in order to run your ipod.

    You won't lose anything if you reboot. How ever it won't turn on until you do the redsnow patch again.

    In all honesty, it's not scary to reboot it at all. I've rebooted about three times since yesterday, and the boot helper makes it very easy to do this.

    Winterboard requires a reboot, but most applications don't. Some might ask you to restart the springboard, but that doesn't require you to hook your iPod up to the comp again.

    after installing a winterboard, you just have to respring. no need to reboot

    Either install SBSettings (has a respring option included), install Respring or a similar app from Cydia, or set the language in Settings.
