    WinterBoard Widgets-The Ultimate Guide.

A guide for the WinterBoard Widget, clock Widgets and mods.

Please see which widget you want, and read carefully through the instructions. I shall try to make them as clear as i can.

All the downloads for the widgets can be found attached to the post or with the widget information or on the original threads.

How to install: SSH in, goto Library/Themes and drop the widget files into there. And select in winterboard.

If something is not working, then please check the trouble shoot guide at the bottom. Dont PM me.

    ----------------------------

--Modding the theme for YOUR use--

This involves you modding the location.

This way of modding appears in nearly all of the themes, but there is one, where you have to use another way, i shall post that one when you get to it.

To do this, you have to open up the "configureMe.js" file. Which is found in "/Library/Themes/[Theme Name] Now you will have to have a look for the 'Private' folder. The file is in there.

    Double click to open it.

Now, there will be lots of text which tells you what to do. Ignore it and continue with the guide.

So find the text that says: var locale = "(insert your living area here)" //e.g. 'Defiance, Ohio'|'Moscow, Russia'|'Ledyard, AT'|'London, UK'

So if you live in London, you will type London, UK.

    ----------------------------

There are some other mods of the widgets, i shall Update and add new ones as i come across them.

    ----------------------------

    ----Changing the temperature to Fahrenheit:----

To change the temperature to Fahrenheit, you will have to open the configureme.js

Find the line that says "var isCelsius = true //true|false"

Change the bit where is says "var isCelsius = true" to " var isCelsius = false"

    Save file and respring.

    -----Trouble Shooting-----

Something not working? Check here first.

My location does not show! :S

Well that would be you have not put the correct location settings, e.g, i live in "Shrewsbury, UK" if i put "Shrewsbury, England" Then it wont work.

so try different combination's if it does not work.

E.g "Shrewsbury, UK" or "Shrewsbury, England" or "Shrewsbury, Great Britain" If you have tried different variations, and it still fails to work, then please do post about it, i shall try and help asap.

I put the files in selected it and it does not show.

That might be because the widget is being canceled out by something else. So move the widget above the other themes you have selected.

If you need help on how to do this, then please check here: http://www.ifans.com/forums/showthread.php?t=95749

    And scroll down a little.

I put the theme in but it cancels out my moving wallpaper

Yes, thats what happens im afraid. If you have any .html knowledge you have to merge the html files together, i dont. :/ If you dont, you could have a hunt around the internet, or you could ask over at mac themes.

If none of these worked for you, then please do post. Dont PM me.
