I've had to restore three times, but whenever I try to install Winterboard on my iPod, it simply won't boot. Is this a technical issue or am I missing something very obvious here?

Well I fixed it by installing Winterboard before updating Cydia. Now both work fine.

WinterBoard was on of the first things I installed and it worked perfectly. It has never messed up my iPod to where I had to restore it. Although, it did make my iPod crash a billion times in a row. Got that sorted out.

Re-springing the ipod before rebooting after installing winterboard worked for me.

I was not able to just reboot right after installing winterboard. I HAD to re-spring with SB settings before I could reboot. After that, reboot was fine. It took me a few tries to get this fixed.

Winterboard didn't fail to install, but the ipod failed to reboot after installing winterboard.

When I had winterboard, it was working fine. It was draining my battery like hell though for some reason, so I just took it off.
