I have Automatic SSH, Open SSH, Toggle SSH, and BossPrefs installed, but when I hit "Login" on WinSCP, I just get a white screen and it closes. What is wrong?

Is your iPod touch on when you hit login? It needs to be awake aka on the SpringBoard.

Yes it is, I just get a white screen and then afterwards I get a "Network error: Connection timed out".

I don't think it's my firewall, because yesterday I was logging on to WinSCP every single time I hit login and it ran perfectly, so I don't know what it is...

    I get it alot too.

Be patient and delete Toggle SSH, that thing sucks.

Just go into SBSettings (you should have it if you want to do this my way which works) and turn off SSH and Wi-fi for about a minute. Close WinSCP.

Then, after a minute go to WinSCP and enter your info but don't hit "Login" yet.

Turn on Wi-fi and SSH and when they are both displayed as "On", immediately hit "Login".

It always works when I do this.

Could I just save me info so I don't have to enter it all everytime? Or do I need to do it manually

Definately save it once you know it's right and you can get in with that information.

Try to use filezilla, it is the only thing that works for me.

ok my almost fail proof way is open bossprefs and toggle ssh off, then open WinSCP and select your ipod and click login. as soon as the window opens toggle ssh back on.
I know it's a pain to have to do that every time but I too get the timed out message and this way i know i can almost always get it to connect.
